This year at Groveland Missionary Church we have preached on a variety of passages in the Bible that built on our theme from Lamentations 3:21-22 focusing on God's steadfast love and faithfulness.  And God has been faithful to us this last year.  So this message explores the various topics and sermons that was preached over this last year.  Enjoy remembering how God has been faithful and looking forward to the Light of Jesus we will be preaching on in 2020.

The Roman oppression of the Jews had them praying for a Savior.  And God answered, but not in the way they expected.  He came as a light of salvation from our sins.  What are you doing with that light?

When the darkness of despair is all around you, the Light of Bethlehem Shines on as the Light of Hope.  It is good to know that hope is one of the things that Jesus brought into this world many years ago.  And that Light of Hope still shines today.

This is the first in a series about giving which we are going to look at this ThankGIVING season.  Because despite what you may think, we have much we can give to God.  This morning we look at giving God our talents.

The longest chapter in the Bible is all about how precious and important God's word is all about.  It shows us not only why the Bible should be our favorite book, but tells us how to make the Bible our favorite book.  And the author puts his money where his mouth is by being a living example of one whose favorite book is the Scriptures.

This is a shortened sermon due to the Children's Sunday and the Acorn Bank Breaking part of the service, but it is taken from Psalm 139.

Confession is good for the soul.  It removes the stain that can only be cleansed but the blood of a sacrifice.  David knew his sin and confessed it.  Hear his cry to have his sin blotted out, washed away, and cleansed.  But it does not stop there.  Listen to see what confession leads to.

The title of this sermon comes from an old children's song, "Why worry when you can pray".  But this sermon takes a twist when worry is not worry, and prayer is a promised land.

The World around us shows us the greatness of God, but so does the Word of God.  However, the way God greatness can be seen the best is in His Workers, His fallible but forgiven workers.  How is God shining through you?

Psalm 1 is all about the righteous.  When others look at you do they see the image that Psalm 1 describes?  Explore this picture with us in this message.

We started a new series on the book of Psalms entitled "Psalms We Love".  I invited the congregation to send me what their favorite psalm is and I am preaching on them.  Those who are listening to this podcast are also invited to let me know what psalm they would like me to preach on.  You may submit them in the contact us page of this website.  I started this series off with one of my favorites and probably the most familiar and requested psalm: The 23th.  Here we see God as a shepherd.

Two times in the Bible David is referred to as a man after God's own heart.  Listen to hear what this means and how David demonstrated in three areas how he was a man after God's own heart.  Because you to can be a man after God's own heart, if you imitate these three areas.

Esther is another hero of the OT.  Listen to see how her choice made her a hero and about make your own heroic choice.

Nehemiah's character is what sets him aside as a hero of the Old Testament.  He was the kind of man God could use.  You too can have the same characteristics of Nehemiah if your life has the same three characteristics of Nehemiah.
