Remembering our past successes help us live our lives.  But how much more have our past failures helped us become who we are?  So we should pass on to the next generations not only our successes that they can learn from but also our failures.

Psalm 46 is another psalm of trust in a God who is our refuge and stronghold.

Who or what do you put your confidence in?  Well Psalm 27 gives us four avenues that lead to putting our confidence in God.

How big is God?  Maybe a better question is How big are you to God?  I answer both of these questions in this sermon based on Psalm 8.

We need to praise the Lord for all He has done.  And this psalm (100) gives us three aspects of praise that we need to consider as we praise the Lord.  Let all that has life and breath, PRAISE THE LORD.

Nehemiah's character is what sets him aside as a hero of the Old Testament.  He was the kind of man God could use.  You too can have the same characteristics of Nehemiah if your life has the same three characteristics of Nehemiah.

This is the first in our Spring series entitled "Heroes of the Old Testament".  Over the next couple of months we are going to look at various individual men and women found in the OT and I intend to show that even though we often times see the triumphs of these people, they were not perfect.  They were people like you and me with struggles and failings that allowed themselves to be used by God.  This week we focused on Joshua, a man in a difficult crisis in his life and how he had the courage to move on.

How do people treat Jesus today?  How do you treat Jesus?  Well, there are three ways people treated Jesus on Good Friday.  See if they are still true today.

What will happen in the end times?  That is an important question we need to ask.  But the more important question we all need to ask ourselves is what will Jesus find us doing when he appears?

Jesus calls his disciples to be childlike in their actions -- that unless you receive the kingdom of God as a child you will not enter it.  Today we look at three childlike actions to help us in that way.
