Nehemiah's character is what sets him aside as a hero of the Old Testament.  He was the kind of man God could use.  You too can have the same characteristics of Nehemiah if your life has the same three characteristics of Nehemiah.

This is the first in our Spring series entitled "Heroes of the Old Testament".  Over the next couple of months we are going to look at various individual men and women found in the OT and I intend to show that even though we often times see the triumphs of these people, they were not perfect.  They were people like you and me with struggles and failings that allowed themselves to be used by God.  This week we focused on Joshua, a man in a difficult crisis in his life and how he had the courage to move on.

How do people treat Jesus today?  How do you treat Jesus?  Well, there are three ways people treated Jesus on Good Friday.  See if they are still true today.

What will happen in the end times?  That is an important question we need to ask.  But the more important question we all need to ask ourselves is what will Jesus find us doing when he appears?

Jesus calls his disciples to be childlike in their actions -- that unless you receive the kingdom of God as a child you will not enter it.  Today we look at three childlike actions to help us in that way.

The are requirements for many things including following Christ.  Some are basic, some are practical, and some are humble.  But all lead to the same place.  Allowing our will to be determined by God's direction and purpose.  And for some that may even mean death.

Jesus is sending us as Christians into service for him.  But like his disciples, there are some situations that may happen as we are telling others about Christ.  This message will identify some of these problems we may encounter and how we can deal with those problems.

Jesus came to earth to invade Satan's territory and to "Bind the Strong Man".  We too are called to be soldiers in the battle against Satan.  To find out how, listen to this message.

After a week off due to poor weather, we started a new series this Sunday entitled "Into Action".  We are looking at the action packed book of Mark and learning what it means for us to get "into the action".  Because God calls his people not to be spectators on the sidelines or consumers on TV, but out in the field in action.   And the three lessons learned in this sermon help us start to get into the action.

Final sermon of the series The Many Hats of God (started before the Advent season).  God is a shepherd who cares deeply for His sheep and sent a lamb in their place to bring us all back into the flock.
