God promises us deliverance throughout the Bible not just in the Exodus passages we read during Sunday’s sermon.  Here are a few more that you can depend upon for God keeping his promises.
Galatians 5:1, “It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery.”
James 4:7, “Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
Psalm 34:4, “I sought the LORD, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears.”
Psalm 34:17, “The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles.”
Isaiah 43:19, “See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
And finally Psalm 91 (the entire chapter) has much to say about a God who rescues and delivers us.  I hope that these verses will encourage you this week as we see how God promises us deliverance.
