Abide, remain, tarry, spend quality time.  These words relate to how we are to relate to Jesus.  But isn’t wonderful that he wants to spend time, tarry, remain, abide with us!  What an honor that the eternal, infinite God wants to do this with us as puny human beings.  And yet this is the gospel.  We can have a right relationship with God because of the blood of Jesus.  And to call us friends?  What greater name could we be called!  And because of his friendship and love shown to me, that should motivate me to spend more time just enjoying his presence.  Take time this week to just be held in his arms.  No words needed!
