In Person Worship at GMC/ Mask Policy
We are currently holding worship services inside our sanctuary at 10:30 am every Sunday. We are also holding Sunday School for all ages at 9:30 am every Sunday as well as a weekly Prayer Time on Wednesdays at 2:00 pm.
We at Groveland Missionary Church have carefully considered the steps we are taking to keep every attender as safe as possible. We will do our best to keep the spread of the virus from happening, but we cannot guarantee that it will not happen. To these ends we are asking the following things from those who attend.
1. If you feel sick or believe you have been exposed to the virus, please stay home. We will still broadcast our message on Facebook either live or prerecorded for you to listen to or watch at your convenience. Also if you are concerned about catching the virus and feel that coming to church may expose you, do not feel required or compelled to attend in any way. And finally, if you have been in close contact with someone who has tested positive for the virus, please stay quarantined for at least a week before coming to any of our services.
2. We clean and disinfect our building weekly especially frequently touched surfaces to prevent any cross contamination.
3. Masks are no longer required in our services, but if you feel more comfortable wearing one, we will not discourage it. The church has some basic, disposable masks that you can use if you need them.
4. We have provided hand sanitizer stations around the building that everyone is welcome to use.
5. We have blocked off every other pew to maintain social distancing. Those pews will have a “Do Not Sit” sign to help guild you.
6. We will not “pass the plate” to collect offerings. Instead the ushers will maintain control of the plate and present it to individuals. If you so desire, a plate will also be available by the sound booth to give before the service starts each week.
7. We are very pleased that due to our congregation’s willingness to follow these recommendations that our church has not been connected with the spread of Covid-19 over these last two years and that our attenders who contracted the virus took the proper precautions to prevent the spread in our church.
